YOU ARE HERE!
When it comes to gaining strength and improving fitness markers, a measured approach is always better than a straight shot from the hip. In our prior post DELOAD we talked about striking balance between training and working out. 90% of what we do here at RISE is under a very structured methodology that allows us to better fine tune what we deliver each training cycle. The other 10% is what we call “controlled play”- this shows up in our ENDURE. sessions in varying formats to test you both physically and mentally.
We’re going to make some slight changes in how we approach things here by bringing some of that controlled play to STRONG.- don’t get too excited, it’s just for a ONE DAY.
Conversely, we’ll throw a bit more structure into ENDURE.- another single day.
We don’t value 1Rep Maxes here at RISE and never will. We value RPE/auto-regulation. Though subjective, it is the safest way to train young athletes and the general adult population. We’ve watched everyone of you make tremendous physical (aesthetic & ability) progress while reducing prior nagging ailments. We have no reason to change our process and method but we have a desire to give you data to motivate and support your time here.
At the end of each quarter we will utilize two days for testing/assessment.
Q1 FITNESS + PERFORMANCE TESTING
DAY 1: Strength Assessment (Fri. FEB 24)
DAY 2: Endurance Assessment (Sat. FEB 25)
These days will run in the same way we typically run classes- with a slight twist.
Sign up for your regular class as normal.
Show up ready to workout per usual.
Show up ready to have fun!
As we get closer to February 24/25 we’ll share more information to better prepare you for the weekend.
Keep showing up, keep working hard, we love seeing the progress you’re making!
